Schooling Young Kings and Queens

Meet Adisa Banjoko, President and Founder of the Hip Hop Chess Federation/educator/ Community advocate/MMA student/ father/all around chill guy.
I had the opportunity the catch Adisa in action with his students at John O'Connell High School in San Francisco's Mission District.
One young gentleman played a game before he headed out to defend O'Connell's Soccer Title against Mission High School. A trophy that had been in Mission's possession for 20 years until this time last year, Adisa rapped with the young mind lending an ear and support before the big game.
There was still time for one more game where Adisa was given a run for his money. But still had the patience to explain some on the nuances of the game to intrigued youth.
