Don't undo all that they have fought for!

I found this while I was looking for press contacts, and I was blown away by the voice of the message.

I never fully understood the abortion debate until this year. The way most men are taught to consider the debate--pro-life or pro-choice-- doesn't capture the essence of the issue. More than anything, it comes down to the government's right to regulate a women's ethic and her own personal definition of life. Should the government have this right? No. That fact that we're even having this debate in 2008 says how prehistoric American's are.

Word. It is not a matter of pro-life or pro-choice. The true issue and question is, does a women have a right to choose? In my opinion... most definitely.

But, I must stress! Abortion isn't a form of birth control. If abortion ever does become legal I would hope that people would also practice more digression in choosing their partners and still be educated and utilize alternative methods of birth control. That's why sex education is so important, informing males and females about the complexities of sex and the human psychology.

There needs to be some kind of mental and emotional support building around women who go through the experience. There will always be a difference in opinion. But when you have so called "pro-lifers" picketing outside of Planned Parenthood, one cannot help but feel some sort of shame. It's ridiculous. You don't see pro-choice advocates picketing outside churches. Pro-Choice just means if you need to you can, if you don't believe in it then you don't have to do it. This is the American way... the freedom of choice. America has the opportunity of new growth and I know the 20 somethings and new thirties have finally gained some perspective to pass on new perspectives of the evolving American public.
