YOUTH SUMMIT ON PUBLIC SAFETY NOVEMBER 11th 2010

What's up Community?

In our effort to continue bridging the communication gap between police and community in District 11 and District 9, Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center is proud to announce our 2nd Youth Summit, on November 11th 2010 from 4pm - 6pm at the Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center. We understand that Thursday is Veteran's Day and schools are closed but we hope that this will encourage youth participation.

Following the success and the feedback from our first summit, This summit will focus on the following questions:

* What pressures do youth face in our communities? * What are ways that we can prevent conflicts between police and youth? * How do the police approach public safety? * How do we affect the negative perceptions of the police and youth in our communities?

We ask for your commitment in supporting the Youth Summit by attending and passing on the word. This is a small stepping stone for us to work towards achieving our big picture and it can't happen with out all of you.

Attached to this email is the flier for distribution, if you have any questions please feel free to contact me directly or contact Elizabeth Ortega at 415.206.2140 ext 150

Peace and Respect Always,
